Andrea Rincón is a 23-year-old from Tijuana, graduated in Political Science and Public Administration from the Autonomous University of Baja California; she founded the Border Youth A.C collective in early 2020 during the pandemic, as an emergency humanitarian response for Children on the Move; with 6 years volunteering in various organizations and 4 years of experience leading and coordinating programs and events focused on education with a trauma care perspective in Tijuana-San Diego such as the itinerant education program “mobile school”, tours to the desert to leave gallons of water; in organizations such as Border Angels, The school box project and the 1597 TJ collective, which advocates the application of legal tools to reduce police abuse. Andrea is an activist who advocates for the protection of the human rights of refugee and migrant children and youth on the northwest border of Mexico.
