Marcela Celorio

Marcela Celorio is the first female graduate from the Escuela Libre de Derecho to become Ambassador of Mexico. She has two Master’s Degrees, one in Diplomatic Studies and the other in National Security and Defense, and an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard University.

She joined the Mexican Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Attaché, and over more than 20 years, she ascended through the ranks. She is fluent in English and has knowledge of French, Italian, and Hebrew.

She has served Mexico in its embassies in the United States, Israel, Belgium, and its Mission to the European Union, as well as in the consulates in New York and San Diego. Currently, she serves as Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles.
